Aspiro

aspiroWilderness Adventure Therapy (WAT) program.

The Aspiro family of programs are a hybrid between traditional wilderness therapy, and adventure programs such as Outward Bound or NOLS.

This melding of two approaches has evolved into a more exciting, more powerful, more effective approach to working with teens and young adults.

We have designed three distinct programs in order to meet the unique needs of different ages and presenting issues.

Aspiro works with main stream students ages 13 to 17.

Students often present with a history of soft to moderate emotional and behavioral challenges and some combination of: low self-esteem, academic underachievement, ADD/ADHD, adoption issues, impulsivity, passive aggressiveness, substance abuse, family conflict and so on.

Acceptance is based on a review of the student’s current and past history of behavior, consultation with parents and professionals, and psycho-educational testing when appropriate.
