The Clear Springs Approach: Concurrent Mental Health Problems
A percentage of those with alcoholism and addiction also suffer from one or more mental health conditions —
most commonly, depression or anxiety disorders. Some of the depression and anxiety they experience early in treatment will disappear as they heal over time.
For others, recovery will involve more extended mental health services. The aim of Clear Springs staff is always to make the treatment fit the patient’s real needs.
Patients and families are also provided with helpful education and counseling on the challenges of living with co-occurring disorders.
The goal here is to prepare all involved for a successful recovery. That includes an opportunity to explore various therapies to determine
which if any are best suited for ongoing treatment after returning home.
