N Street Village

nstreetserves nearly 900 homeless

and low-income women each year.

We are the largest provider of women-only services for D.C.‘s homeless population.

Most of our clients are African American women over the age of 40.

They face multiple challenges, including mental illness, addiction, trauma histories, low literacy, scattered or limited work histories,

histories of incarceration, and chronic physical health problems.

Our programs and services are designed to help women address these different life challenges.
