Community Ministries
of Rockville Maryland
seeks to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable of Montgomery County residents by (1) providing basic services including housing, healthcare,
homecare, education, and emergency assistance, with the goal of achieving and maintaining client self-sufficiency, and (2) advocating on their behalf.
In support of this mission, we combine the efforts of congregations to:
Provide shelter and empowerment for the homeless
Assist the frail elderly in their home
House working, formerly homeless men
Offer emergency assistance support to families and individuals in crisis
Teach basic English to recent immigrant adults and children
Provide health services to the uninsured and under-insured
Advocate with government and private sectors
Lead and support community efforts on behalf of those in need
Advocacy
ADVOCACY makes the voice of conscience heard. It is our mission to see that compassion and
justice will transcend and hopefully transform all other agendas.
