Cannabis —->
AKA: Marijuana (Weed, Grass, Pot, Dope, Skunk, Ganja, Spliff, Hash, Hashish, Hemp, Black, Shit).


Legal Status: Class B Under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Possession: Up to five years in prison or unlimited fine or both.
Dealing: Up to 14 years in prison or an unlimited fine or both.


Cocaine —->
AKA: Crack Cocaine (Coke, Crack, Flake, Snow, Charlie, Sniff, C, white, Percy, snow, toot, freebase, rocks, wash, stones, pebbles, base)

Legal Status: Class A Under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Possession: Up to seven years in prison or unlimited fine or both.
Dealing: Up to life in prison or an unlimited fine or both.


Crystal Meth —->
AKA: Methamphetamine (Speed, Meth, Crystal, Christal, Crank, Tweak, Ice, Glass, Tina, Quartz, Nazi Dope, Christine, Chalk, Shabu, Yaba, Zip)


Legal Status: Class A Under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Possession: Up to seven years in prison or unlimited fine or both.
Dealing: Up to life in prison or an unlimited fine or both.


Ecstasy —->
AKA: MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) (E, XTC, X, Adam, Brownies, Rolex’s, Hug, Beans, Clarity, Dolphins, Lover’s Speed, Love Drug, Molly and/or Mandy/Mindy)


Legal Status: Class A Under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Possession: Up to seven years in prison or unlimited fine or both.
Dealing: Up to life in prison or an unlimited fine or both.


Inhalants —->
AKA: gases, glues, aerosols, gas lighters, etc.


Legal Status:
Cigarette Lighter Refill (Safety) Regulations 1999 Is an amendment to the Consumer Protection Act 1987 It makes it illegal to supply gas cigarette lighter refills to anyone under the age of 18. Retailers could face a hefty fine or a prison sentence.
Intoxicating Substances (Supply) Act 1985 Makes it an offence for a retailer to sell solvents to anyone under the age of 18, knowing that they are being purchased to be abused. It doesn’t make it illegal to own or buy solvents.


Heroin —->
AKA: Diamorphine, (Smack, H, Skag, Junk, Brown Sugar, Horse)


Legal Status: Class A Under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Possession: Up to seven years in prison or unlimited fine or both.
Dealing: Up to life in prison or an unlimited fine or both.


LSD —->
AKA: Lysergic acid diethylamide (Acid, Liquid Acid, Cid, Blotter, Heavenly Blue, Paper Mushrooms, Rainbows, Smilies, Trips, Tripper, Lightning Flash, Microdot, Purple Heart, California Sunshine, Tab, Dots)


Legal Status: Class A Under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Possession: Up to seven years in prison or unlimited fine or both.
Dealing: Up to life in prison or an unlimited fine or both.


Mephedrone —->
AKA: 2-methylamino-1-p-tolylpropan-1-one [also known as 4-methylmethcathinone] (4-MMC, M-Cat, MMCAT, MC, Mieow, Meow, Drone, Bubbles)


Legal Status: Class B Under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Possession: Up to five years in prison or unlimited fine or both.
Dealing: Up to 14 years in prison or an unlimited fine or both.
Possession: Up to five years in prison or unlimited fine or both.


Poppers —->
AKA: alkyl nitrites / amyl nitrite (Whippets, Laughing Gas, Rush, Locker Room, Liquid Gold, Pure Gold, TNT, Snappers)


Legal Status: Controlled under the Medicines Act 1968.
This law governs the manufacture and supply of medicine. There are three categories:

Prescription Only drugs can be sold by a pharmacist if prescribed by a doctor. Pharmacy medicines may be sold by a pharmacist without prescription. General sales list medicines may be sold without a prescription in any shop.


Possession of Prescription Only medicines without a prescription is a serious offence. Drugs such as amyl nitrite, GHB and ketamine are regulated under the Medicines Act. Prescription Drugs
