Preventable and Treatable
Substance addiction is preventable and treatable.
Untreated substance addiction is fatal – everyone should have access to treatment regardless of their ability to pay.
Over nine million children are living in homes were there is a substance addiction.
One out of every three people you see in a day struggles with some form of addiction or knows someone who does.
Family and friends will not get the help they need unless people who care help to fund treatment.
Addiction is serious and progressive. It effects us physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, financially, and spiritually. It is truly non-discriminatory. It knows no social or economic barriers. Neither race nor sex, nor the circumstances of birth or background, nor the quality of individual character will guarantee against it. Addiction is the #1 public health problem in our nation and our community.
