Choopers Guide
The concept of CHOOPERS ( CHeney + HOOPER)
Was born on a Saturday afternoon in August 2009 on the Pemaquid Beach in New Harbor, Maine.
Two guys who had in their former lives collectively been in over 45
Substance Abuse Treatment Centers
for alcoholism and addiction decided that too many addicts and alcoholics die because they can’t find a bed in area rehab clinics
or can’t find the right type of rehab and also that too many clinicians, medical personnel and other referrers make inappropriate treatment referrals
or no referrals due to lack of easily accessible information resources. We decided to build a resource guide focused on substance abuse treatment centers.
We named it CHOOPERS Guide. We think it has a nice ring and that it is easy to remember.
