Florida is home to beautiful palm trees and beaches with crystal-clear water and white sand. From shopping to relaxing on the beach, it’s certainly a place that soothes the soul. If you’re searching for the right rehab program in Florida, we can help guide you in the process.

Unfortunately, Florida is no stranger to the drug epidemic sweeping this country. Florida’s opioid overdose rate has tripled since the turn of the century according to Florida’s Statewide Drug Policy Advisory Council 2016 Annual Report, and “there has been a substantial increase in deaths associated with fentanyl and heroin-related drug use.”

What It Takes To Get Free From Addiction
It requires a commitment on the part of the addicted person, knowledgeable therapists, and effective treatment methods. People addicted to a wide range of drugs have been able to overcome their addiction and go on to live happy, productive lives with the help of the right therapists, innovative treatment centers, effective therapies, and the support of people who care about them. The key is to connect the person struggling with addiction to the program and the care team best suited to deal with the way their addiction manifests itself.

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, you probably have many questions regarding how to handle and understand the addiction. We offer many different treatment resources to help answer any questions that you or a loved one might have.

Types Of Treatment Programs
Residential Treatment
Depending on the nature and the severity of a person’s addiction, they may need a residential addiction treatment program to have success getting and staying sober. Residential treatment is more effective for many people struggling with addiction. This type of treatment program removes them from their network of suppliers and enablers and places them in a therapeutic environment where they are able to focus on healing themselves.

Plus, residential treatment facilities help people better understand and embrace all the elements of their treatment plan. They also benefit from the support of the staff and other people in the recovery program. The stay there can last a few days or as long as several months.

Day Treatment
This type of program is designed for people who need ongoing care and monitoring, but want to continue to live at home. Day treatment programs require people to spend 7 or 8 hours each day at a treatment center where they take part in individual and group therapy session, attend meetings and are provided with information and taught skills that help them to be successful in their recovery.

Being at the day treatment facility helps to keep people in recovery engaged, away from temptation and triggers, and focused on their sobriety. They are allowed to return home each night if it is a stable environment.

Outpatient Treatment
For some people, outpatient treatment is able to provide all the help they need to overcome their addiction. A good outpatient treatment program can provide people recovering from drug addiction with the tools, training, and support they need to live a sober life. Some recovering addicts find having access to an outpatient facility on which they can draw in or near their home community can provide them with all the help they need to overcome their addiction.

Sober Living Communities
After completing their treatment at an intensive residential treatment program, many people transition to a sober living community for a period of time before returning home. The structure and intensive daily treatment these sober living communities provide help many people to continue their recovery better. The communities give them more freedom than a residential treatment facility. But they still contain a safe, supportive, drug-free environment where they live with other people who are also working on recovering their sobriety. Sober living facilities are ideal for people in recovery who don’t have a home to return to or are concerned they will relapse if they return home too soon.

A Good Recovery Management Program
One of the most essential things people recovering from addiction to drugs need is a good recovery management program (sometimes referred to as aftercare). Remaining clean and sober after years of abusing drugs can be challenging even for the most reliable, most committed, individuals.

A good recovery management program can provide the former drug abuser with the tools and support they need on an ongoing basis to resist the urge to go back to using drugs and help them to remain on a path that leads to positive growth. A good recovery management program can connect the recovering addict to the resources they need to grow stronger in their sobriety and improve the quality of their life.
