“Recovery is a non-profit society based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Society’s Mission is committed to operating residential recovery homes.The Turning Point program is available to people suffering from the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction.
The diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction destroy individuals and families, ripping at the very fabric of our society. Their effects are apparent in our health and welfare systems, on our streets, in jail, and in our own homes. For more than twenty years, Turning Point has quietly helped men and women recover from the devastation of alcoholism and drug addiction.
Our purpose is to provide a safe haven for alcoholics and drug addicts who seek to recover. Founded on the idea that recovery does not happen “all alone,” we offer our residents an opportunity to take the first difficult steps of recovery with other like-minded individuals by providing an alcohol and drug-free residential environment. For many residents, this is their first adult contact with a drug and alcohol-free way of living.
The participation of all clients in a 12 – step program while at Turning Points is the foundation of our program. The contacts we provide with community resources help our residents assume their rightful place in society once they’ve left Turning Point
